Salisbury Hill & Stonehenge

Salisbury Cathedral (1300's)- you have to give credit where credit is do; way to go freemasons. The spire is over 400 feet tall, more than a third the height of the empire state building. A mamouth of a structrue considering that nothing else in the city rises above 3 stories. Certainly, a calm city and very traditional. It was nice to see the country again, which looked much like home except, in place of cows there were sheep, everywhere.

My bed - The sign at the Prancing Pony! Very cool and very old. I thought the place was going to fall down on top of me.

Those wily English people. Who are they fooling?

No introduction needed! Not bad that in order to see one of the seven medieval wonders in the world, you only have to pay $10. Bloody capitalism! I've never been surrounded by so many Americans in my life, which was nice. The sun mercifully came out after a couple hours of rain and grey as you can see in the below picture.

What a horrible day at the start; but my charming good looks made the sun come out, eventually,

  1. So, is that supposed to be sunny? Or, did that happen after the photo...
